I've been getting violent dizzy spells since i was roughly 3 years old, i am 17 now. They aren't very frequent now, but were very frequent when i was young.
i would wake up in the morning not being able to move and see the room spinning counter-clockwise in front of me. these attacks also consisted of vomiting and loss of the lower half of my vision. they would last 1-3 hours and i would b fine after. if i was to go on a boat or carnival ride, that night i would also get extremely dizzy, without vomiting how ever. Also, if i was to go in a higher elevation, of 1000 ft or higher, i would be sick, without vomiting however.
Around 12 or 13 years old, these symptoms slightly changed. I now get frequent migraines where my pupils pulse, pain in my ears, and am slightly dizzy after standing, during low pressure weather systems, and at bed sometimes, but can still function. I still get dizzy in high elevations and after going on a boat or rides. I also get slightly more sever attacks at random that just consist of dizziness, slight loss of vision, and a headache.
About a year ago, i was hospitalized because it got so bad. I laid down and the room started rotating like it did when i was little and everything was rocking back and forth. i was able to make my way to the bathroom and sat on the tub for an hour vomiting and having things spinning. i began losing half my vision, from the bottom up, like i used to, and my legs were occasionally involuntarily moving. My speech was also very impaired along with my walking.
After being taken to the hospital, the doctors didn't find much wrong with me except that i have a slight nystagmus when i look drastically to the right or left. They took a CAT scan and found that my cerebellum was smaller than usual, but in previous MRI's, they found nothing abnormal.
I've been living with this for almost my whole life and i've seen multiple ENT's, neurologists, and other specialists and have gotten a multitude of diagnosis's that excludes a few of my symptoms.
someone please help me...
