Carolyn, I would definitely get an MRI to see what is going on with your discs. It sounRAB like stenosis is going on. I had very similar symptoms, caused by lurabar stenosis and bulging discs L4, L5. However, I also had problems with my cervical spine, so make sure that they check everything. My cervical problems had affected my legs as well, since I had spinal cord compression. I had a surgery to fix that, but my lurabar problems aren't really operable, so I had PT and get in the therapy pool twice a week to do the exercises I learned. That seems to help keep the pain down, and my walking has improved. I also have neuropathy, which hinders walking. I use a cane when out in public, try to walk without it around the house. It is very frustrating, I know. My problems started two years ago, and I still can't do much in the way of normal housework, etc. I'm just now lying on the couch to recover from time spent cleaning the bathroom floor. Hope you find some anwers, and keep us posted. God Bless,
Kay

Hi Carolyn,
Yes, ,make sure your doctor knows about this pain and if you do not have a doctor, get to the ER. Watch for changes in bowel and bladder. Anything from loss of control to rentention and loss of urge sensation. What is your history? Any surgeries in the past? I would treat this as an emergency as there are too many potential bad outcomes unless you know what is going on. Put in your doctors hanRAB - meaning tell him you want action now! I am a young 50 year old and 100 percent disabled due to a doctors mistake and lack of action.
Good luck and God be with you.
Richard
