1st: when i read my hand book it said that it have 161HP@6100 rpm....wt does why 6100? and why other cars have the max HP at higher rpm? which is better??

2nd: it is and auto transition car, but it has tiptronic....wt is the max rpm tht i shouldn't get beyond...it it ok to get to its red mark? and what is the perfect rpm to go for as a max for everyday driving?

3rd: is 161 HP enough for a 1500KG car? cause i feel tht it is a bit lazy when i start accelerating....other wise it is more than fine :S:S

thx a lot ;)

1 - high rpms don't mean that the engine's bad. Big V8 engines have lower max rpms, but make big horsepower consistently. Smaller inline 4s have high max rpms, but can make high hp. The only difference is that it might take longer to make higher horsepower. (the hp curve of a v8 will be much flatter than a smaller engine, meaning it will make good power at almost any rpm)

2 - you can go up to the redline in tiptronic, but only if you want to push the car. if you do that a lot, it will wear out the car fast. all things considered, i would say don't go past 3500 rpm in tiptronic, or, better yet, just leave it in drive. tiptronic is for when you want to race the car.

3 - it's plenty, unless you want a sporty car. in that case, you'll need more hp (get a faster car). it's not gonna be a fast car, but it'll get you up a hill and where you need to go.
