...on the 15th postmarked? I say this is standard practice to mail it on the day it's due as long as it's postmarked, this is why most leases have a grace period for the rent in transit.

She says it should be sent a few days prior and it should be received on the 15th, looking for a answer that's not moral more so practical.
Don't say read the lease either, apply this question in a general fashion.
Practical meaning is the rent considered late, given there's a grace period. I believe the first 2 answers to be moral not legal based.
All 3 of these answers aren't taking into account the 3 day grace period that almost all leases have. The point of this grace period IS...

I know I'm not wrong here on the contrary to what I'm being told. Why would the grace period exist if you couldn't mail it on the 15th?
