Guy and Girl meet, start dating, things get serious. Girl is friends with her ex-husband, but Guy has a problem with it and forbids the friendship. Girl and ex didn't work out being married, but were best friends regardless. Girl reluctantly breaks off friendship with ex-husband to make Guy feel more secure.
Fast forward 4 years...
Guy starts talking on the phone and exchanging pics with his ex-girlfriend behind Girl's back. Girl finds out, gets upset, asks him to stop talking to the ex. Guy says he isn't doing anything wrong and that Girl shouldn't be upset. Girl brings up the point that Guy forbade her to be friends with her ex, so Guy should play by his own rules. Guy gets all upset, cuts off contact with his ex but complains and makes a big deal about it in the meantime.
Is Girl right to be upset and ask Guy to cease contact with the ex?
Or is Guy right, and he should be able to carry on with his ex despite having forbid Girl from doing the same thing 4 years ago?
