Hello,
I am resetting up a wireless network at home. I am using a netgear n600 as the base router, which i set up to broadcast 2.4 and 5.0 GHz signals, and works great with all my PC's. I want to use this router as the wireless base station and a Netgear WNDR3300 as my wireless repeater.
On the N600, i went under advanced options and wireless repeater options, and entered all the information needed to set up this piece of hardware as a wireless base station, entered the MAC address of my WNDR3300 as one of the addresses as the repeaters, and clicked apply and all my settings were saved.
Then, on the WNDR 3300, i hooked it up to my computer through ethernet and set it up as a wireless repeater like above, entering the MAC address of the base station and creating the last three digits of the IP address.
Here is where i run into my problem, the wireless repeater is broadcasting a signal, at both 2.4 and 5.0 GHz, and i can connect to it perfectly like any other network. HOWEVER, the router is not broadcasting an internet signal, as in it was "connected with no internet access" under networking.
Anyone ahve any ideas as what i should try to do? I have reset both hardware pieces and tried tons of options, it should be working but it isnt. Feel free to submit any option you see as a possible fix.
Thank you for you time
