Hi, I have a 1997 Saturn Sc2, Automatic
I am not sure if these problems are related or not but...
A couple of days ago my service wrench light ( not service engine soon ) came on. We are still not sure why, we are waiting to have it scanned by an OBD. We did notice a slight clicking or cracking feeling not noise, when making very sharp turns. I don't know if it has always been there and I have just now noticed it or if it may be why the service light came on. You can't hear it inside the car or out, you just feel a faint clicking through your feet on the floorboard of the drivers side.
We thought it may be the CV boot or joint, but when my bf looked at the boot it looked fine, no tears or grease anywhere. We have not noticed any other changes to the performance of the car. So I was wondering if this is normal? Or, what else could it possibly mean?
Also, I know the service wrench light may come on if any other warning lights are not working. We do have 3 warning lights that have never worked ( trunk, up shift, change oil soon ) They are all on the bottom right and do not light up when you turn the car on. Could it for some reason now be recognizing this?
Sorry my owner's manual is for manual transmissions too, so I only have one warning light out, the change oil soon light.
