Service Quality in Columbus, Ohio (OSU) and Sprint Merger

I will be going to Ohio State this fall and my current pay as you go cell phone plan will no longer be sufficient. I'm wondering about the quality of Cricket's coverage in this general area. I'm also a bit curious about the details of the agreement with Sprint. Do Cricket and Sprint both use each other's towers? Does Cricket only use Sprint's towers for roaming, or are they always available? Just wondering whether I can expect Cricket to be better or worse than Sprint in terms of coverage. It would make sense that any cell provider would have decent coverage in a city like Columbus, but certainly some are better than others. When I was at orientation, some people who had Sprint complained that their phones didn't get service inside whereas people who had verizon, and even my own iden phone, had good signal strength. Thanks ahead of time for thoughts and answers.

I didn't seem to have a problem and i'm out of cincinnati. I visited there had excellent reception and 1x not EV data status
