SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT 2003 S10 CHEVY HELP!?

Check your oil level NOW. If it is low, you MUST add oil before you drive it another yard.

If it is just rattling at a stoplight, it could be: --worn motor mounts (not too serious); or problems in the upper end (a heavier motor oil or a can of STP can help this); or you might have a dirty fuel line--in which case you can also get a can of stuff from a car parts store, and run it through the engine to clean out your fuel injectors.

If it is the Oxygen sensor (doubtful), that is merely a "sparkplug-like" thing that is screwed into your exhaust manifold. You can easily unscrew it, and replace it with another one--although they are a little bit spendy: $30-$40 or so.

ok yesterday it seem just fine till i started it up and i seen the service engine light blinking i kept driving for about half a mile and came back home because it scared me. well i had to go to work today and drove about 20 mins then i was at a light and it start rattling a little bit and its due for a oil change but i dont think thats the problem. this is really scaring me please help i got a family and this is our only vehicle if u got any ideas of waht it could be i know you wont know unless you look at it i had some guy who has a 4x4 crew cab tell me it was his catalyc converter and a oxygen sensor went bad on him. well myn is a 4x2 3 door type of truck 6 cycldor i need help please any ideas. im very poor i usually work on this truck my self i just put shocks on it it was a pain doing that. please any help will get you 10 stars i promise!
