So I'm driving along doing 65 (ok, maybe a little faster...) in the car pool lane and the next thing I know there's a gawd damn ladder in my lane so I swerve just barely missing it while the car behind me nails it. They slowed down and disappeared from my rear view mirror while pulling off to the side, probably with at least a blown tire or two. Five minutes later a damn plastic bag flies under my car and, wouldn't you know it, gets melted onto my Y-Pipe where it has continued to produce a not so pleasant odor ever since. I can't tell you how many tires, pallets, pieces of wood, and other pieces of debris I've had to dodge on the freeway the past few weeks. As I get off the freeway this morning I see a POS traffic cop sitting on the sidewalk pointing his little radar gun at me. He didn't pull me over, and it's a good thing too, because I was ready to give him a piece of my mind. Why don't they do something useful and go clean up all that shit on the freeway? Now THAT would be serving and protecting. Their job is not about your safety, it's about taking your money, pure and simple. So here's a hefty :mfinger: to all the traffic cops out there. May you miss your quotas and be demoted to bicycle cops.
