This issue started back in October.
The Serpentine Belt Came off of my 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport. A mechanic replaced the belt.
Well the squeal started soon thereafter, and then the oil light started going off again(That seems to be a symptom- the oil light going on and off)....
About 2 and a half months later(in December/January), the belt came off again. I took it to a different mechanic, who claimed I needed to replace(And I did) my Tensioner Pulley AND My Belt(Which I had JUST replaced a little over 2 months ago).
The squeal is still there. Problems that I have-
When you turn the van on- sometimes it won't turn on(Just replaced my starter a year ago), sometimes the motor will turn on, but the electrical(Radio, A/C, Heat, etc.) won't.
I will back the van into our road, and it will stop going from reverse to drive. I will be driving and the van will STOP while in drive!
Just the other night, I pulled into someones driveway. The Battery light went on. Turned the Van off. Went I came back out, it would not turn on. The electrical was appearing to "Go Crazy"(Flickering off and on, etc.). Luckily, somebody(A mechanic) helped me out. He said(Again) that the problem was the serpentine belt came off. He put it back on for me, and jumped me. But WHY would the belt keep coming off? I just replaced the Belt and the Tensioner Pulley not even 2 weeks ago!!!!
Any help that can be given is muchly appreciated!!
