seriously, how bad is a sanyo lcd tv?

Sanyo is a good tv, it is just not as expensive as a sumsung or panasonic. Even though in the 80's Sanyo was up there with Sony. Of course if you want a TV with proven staying power an investment in Magnavox may be worth looking into. But truth be known for picture quality unless you are a big time gamer or big into action shows or sports then one flat screen is not going to make much difference than any other. I personally like Sanyo for it's price, though I did break down and purchase my Magnavox, and if my tv lasts as long as my parents or grandparents Magnavoxes did, this WILL be my last tv purchase.
 
I know nothing about electronics, everyone says get samsung or panasonic- but I read the sanyo reviews & people rave!
so break it down for me?
btw its only a 37"
I need advice because I dont want to buy something that will give me problems! so is it worth the xtra cash for a better brand or will a sanyo do just fine?
