So.
I attend the University of Oklahoma, which may or may not be relevant.
I walked out of class today to a parking ticket attached to my bike, along with about four or five of my classmates'.
I laugh at this, because my bike is not registered in any database anywhere.
The fine is $25 for parking on the same railing that I and my classmates use everyday.
VIN# CAN NOT SEE VIN
COLOR: WHITE
MODEL: BIKE
I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if you payed the ticket or ignored it.
I don't know how they will know that this is my bike and that I don't pay the fine.
That's exactly what I was thinking. It's just some sort of legal, OU scam to get money from kids who are intimidated by it.
Okay, yes they will know that the ticket is not paid, but how do they know me?
My bike is not registered on campus, or with any city, or even with the manufacturer.
I'm not so much trying to get out of paying it, as trying finding out how they can even make this ticketing bicycles process work.
