I enjoy writing fanfiction on the Internet, but lately I have been suffering from some terrible writing fears. I don't know why or where they came from, but for the past few days, I have been struggling so hard to concentrate on writing my story because all these fears keep rushing through my head saying, "are people enjoying my story? For those who are, are they losing interest in my story? Is my storyplot good or rubbish? Is it worth continuing if people don't like it or are losing interest in my story? What's the point in writing if no-one likes what I'm writing, etc?"

I don't know where these fears have come from. I've received many good reviews for my story, but lately I've been too frightened to continue. What intensified my fears even more is that I only received ONE review to my last chapter and usually I receive 5 - 10 reviews for my stories and chapters. It's made me wonder why my other reviewers, as well as being my online penpals, have not said anything about my new chapter I recently submitted and it's made me wonder if they're losing interest in my story.

Has anyone else ever suffered from these kinds of fears and how do you get over them?
My "reviews" comment came out wrong. What I meant was, I enjoy receiving reviews for my online stories because it makes me feel good that people are enjoying them. But, if I feel they're not enjoying them, then I think, "what's the point?"

There is so much fan fiction out there. If you want to write, why not attempt to write something original, that no one else in the world but you could have written. Use characters that you invent in situations that you dreamed up, responding to events in ways that only you can imagine. Don't use JK Rowlings or Stephenie Meyers' set ups. Be creative. Come up with your own.
