Ok, Don't laugh, I worked at this to get it opened for hours because I had
no tools, after I found the proper tools I was already busting this for
awhile and ended up cutting myself a little.

I had a spare cable laying around, I also have 2 spare Treo 650 and
Treo 700 laying around and I can sacrifice one.

Although I do not see the chip on this cable it claims to be so,
I also see the GND, DP, DN, VDD on it. I have another one of these but
different laying around. The other is a Dynex DX-UBDB9 and if anyone knows
if that has the right chip before I bust it open is appreciate it.

I added the cable as an attachment any feedback is welcome.
These go on ebay for about 4-5$

I bought a cable like that made for Treos with a Serial connector on one end before. I had no luck with it. randomwit's cable was the only thing i tried that worked. I would hit him up if I were you.

do not use that cable...please use a futuredial cable or just buy one from me already asserabled...i have a posting over at www.cdmageeks.com that shows you how to build the cable and lists a lot of futuredial cables that do have the chip you need...the post has links to chip and pinout diagrams.
