that be? he got booked may 31, i sent him a letter june 3 and another on june 6.. he hasn't received either.. if it helps this is in california.. he is in pitchess detention center and i am in orange county
The mail in prison is not to prompt. Sometimes they just take their good nature of time. Also if one inmate screws up the rest suffer the consequences..
If there is a lock down no one gets there mail until they decide if they want to distribute it.
i know from experience with a family member in the pen for 3 years.
Also the mail is screened before the inmate gets it. If there is anything that they think is improper to the standards of the penal sytem they will not get it.
I would imagine that the postal system within the prison system is a delivery after reading kind of situation. So censors must read all prisoner e-mail, that means delays.
If your messages were of a particularly sensitive nature or something ill-advised altogether, they may not send the message along at all.
