I currently wish to send a text message to someone who is at present, in the Dominican Republic. I have already sent one by replying to a text message he has already sent me, yet when I went to check my credit balance (PAYG), I have only been charged the typical rate that I'd normally be charged if I were to text him when he was in the UK, so does this mean that the text has not been sent as I have not been charged the international rate? I wasn't sure as to whether I needed to include the country code for the Dominican Republic when texting him back as I assumed it would automatically send to his number seeing as I replied to a text he'd already sent to me from his current destination. He is also on Vodafone (contract), and his number is a UK number. Could someone please shed some light on how I go about sending texts to the Dominican Republic and whether I need to use a code and how I go about this? Thankyou!
