sending a voice memo as attachment

Hello everyone,

I am having trouble forwarding a voice memo as a wav file. I right click on the file in the desktop and type out the email and get an error screen that says

"The host 'aol' could not be found. Please verify that you have entered the server name correctly. Account: 'pop3', Server: 'aol', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number: 0x800CCC0D"

Where and in what window do I go to change this so my email goes through. (aol is not my host by the way)

Any suggestions MUCH appreciated,
JIm:p

Here's Moose's reply to someone else regarding file locaton of Voice Memo:

"The voice files should be stored in a seperate directory on the desktop. Assuming your running windows then it should be similar to the following: C:/program files/palm/sr/voice

You can easily pull or copy the files from that voice directory and save the file."

I THINK that would answer your question as well -- and actually that's a great idea - emailing someone a "voice letter;" great for family a long way, especially if their older and may not have a PC/internet or have trouble reading. Very cool! Hadn't thought of that. There may be a typo above - I think it's program/palm/USER/voice (your user name). It is on mine.

Hope this helps. I can't speak to the "AOL" thing - however you regularly send email, just add an attachment and you should be done.

The SR path on my machine may be related to the fact that I have only one user on my desktop PC.

Paul mentioned that his desktop path includes his user name in his configuration.......

I forget that there is another world out there that allows someone else to use thier PC by more than one individual - foolish me.

But I don't let anyone use my Palm either so I guess I'm just a dinosaur of a moose. :D

The bottom line is I'm glad you were able to find your wave files - but don't try that with the yet released T5. ;)
