Senator Spector's Decicision Is Another HUUUUUUGE Win For President Obama. Will The

I wouldn't call it a "HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE Win For President Obama," especially since it has the capability to blow up in his face when Specter runs for reelection next year. All the Republicans have to do is hammer home the fact among PA voters that Specter is a "fair weather" supporter and that he can't be trusted and they could gain his seat.

It's beneficial to Obama now, and it allows him to ram more of his crazy programs through a rubber-stamping Democratically controlled Congress before then, when, I believe, the Republicans will make a rebound. Of course, that depends on the Republicans coming up with a coherent method of effectively opposing Obama. Time will tell if they stop squabbling with each other.

Did the Democrats stop whining after Bush got elected to a second term? No they didn't. Therefore, I wouldn't count on the GOP to stop "whining" (as you put it, they are being the loyal opposition party) anytime soon.

Cheers!

Obama has drained so many Republican from the Pennsylvania electorate that coupled with the hard Right unyielding attitude of the Republican party forced Specter into a corner.

Yes.

If Obama wants another professional partisan politician who puts his own personal ambitions ahead of the best interests of his party and the nation, then Spector will do just fine.
