So I am selling two bicycles on Craigslist. I was just wondering if this is a potential liability(as in potential suing against me). Like say the bike's chain splits during when the person is riding it, and thus makes them crash into an on coming car two weeks after I sell it to them. Would I be liable in a court for what happened?
If so is there any way I can sell these without the liability? Can I make them sign a buyer beware paper that the bike isn't guaranteed to be safe? If so, how should I word a buyer beware paper?
