I wonder what possibilities lie ahead for SEGA's mascot, Sonic? Sonic is their most bankable character, so they'd be idiots to pass up the chance to make a new Sonic cartoon series, or, better yet, finally release a Sonic the Hedgehog movie. (And what a way that would be to celebrate Sonic's 20th anniversary, which is still two years away. I'd say that's enough time to get a movie going..)

That's not surprising, the Night of the Werehog short was very good.
I'm not sure if Sega would be willing to create another Sonic show/movie, but we probably will see more Sonic shorts.

They should totally make animated shorts of Sonic. They've proven that they can tell a story with universal appeal and great animation.

And if they can't return Sonic to his glory days through video games, maybe becoming a cartoon star is the way to go.

So you want sonic to be short and Fat? The modern design makes more sense with how fast he is.

Imagine if mario was still less that half as tall as the princess, as he was in the original game. I`m sure glad he's almost as tall as her normally now.

Wait, I could've sworn that Sega owned TMS, so they already had an animation studio (then again, TMS is mainly a 2D animation studio, while this new studio is mainly CGI)...

But yeah, the big CGI cutscenes they did for Unleashed were impressive and very much Pixar-quality. If they were to do a whole movie like that, it would have the potential to break the epic meter.

All the CG in the Sonic games the past 5/6 years has been pretty good, getting progressively better, so this sounds good to me. Night Of The Werehog was a fun lighthearted diversion and the opening cutscene to Unleashed was downright amazing.

Personally, I think SEGA can pull this off, I was impressed with Night of the Werehog, and the cutscenes in Unleashed and Sonic 06. Here's hoping that Amigo gets some time to shine in this venture.

He's don't look Sonic anymore. He's look Edgier the Hedgehog or something like that but he's not Sonic.

We can say the same thing about the 'Tude Bugs Bunny of the 50's everyone recognise. Nothing to see with the 40's well-designed Bugs from the Clampett cartoons.
