tilapia; How big of a difference? I am making baja-style beer battered fish tacos for the first time and I have seen a few recipes that say you can fry the battered fish in a pan with just a few tablespoons of oil instead of deep frying.
The idea seems to be that it is healthier, but it seems like since you are still ultimately frying in oil, it can't be that much healthier.
I don't cook or eat much fried food, in part because I don't like making the mess, but I really like fish tacos and I am will to make the exception.
I am just wondering how big of a difference the "healthier" method is in terms of taste, consistency, etc. I don't really want to sacrifice the full potential of my tacos in the name of a slight health improvement. Any other fish taco recommendations or suggestions also appreciated.
