Brief explanation: I’m in my late 20s, and I think she is, as well. We both work a seasonal job that just ended. I’ve gotten enough flirty-type cues to think she might be interested. There’s one last meeting tomorrow where I was hoping to ask her out, until I heard a couple nights ago that she can’t make it. So I’m left with her phone number and an e-mail address, and the prior sounds less lame.
Since I’m *really* bad at the initial asking-out part of a relationship, I’m trying to compose a draft of what I might say if I get her voice-mail box (or ad-lib through it if she answers). I’d really appreciate any comments.

Hi, [her]. This is [me] calling again.
I hate to do this over the phone, but I had hoped to have a chance to see you again today. I’ve been thinking recently that I’d like to get to know you better. So… I wanted to see whether you’d like to get together for lunch some time.
You can just call back whenever it’s convenient for you. My number is [cell#]. Thanks, and have a good day. Bye.
