So currently I am in college, working on my Associate's degree, which will be completed in the upcoming Spring. Afterward, I am strongly considering active service in the Army, to help gain some experience for my career and save some money.
So here comes my question. Would it be difficult to obtain a security clearance (of any kind) with about a $15,000 in student loan debt? I know they look at debts, but I am not sure if student loans count.
Other than that, I have never really established credit. Never took out a car loan, or owned a credit card, for example.
Thanks in advance!
