I am hoping someone here has my issue and can point me in the right direction maybe :/
I've been out of work for 3.5 months now.. basically I have a bad job! I work at Burger King.. I stand on my feet 8 hours a day.. bending to clean tables.. wash dishes.. whatever.. so naturally my back would be a little sore after work every day..
now about 2 months into the job.. I had gone to work.. normal day.. went home.. went to bed... woke up at 5am in extreme pain.. went back to sleep... attempted to get up at 9 to go to work but i couldnt walk.. my lower back kind of went out.. a couple hours passed and i could move ok.. but was in more pain than normal..
being the brilliant gal i am.. i went to work anyway
which was actually good cause all of my bosses were there and all saw me in an extreme amount of pain.. dont know how i actually made it home that night..
anyway I went to the dr.. said i had a herniated disk.. had 3 epidurals which made me worse.. but then things seemed to have improved a bit.. also had me wear a back brace which helped.. the dr said if i was still in pain i needed surgery on the disk.. (bad hospital.. so we went to the best hospital and found a dr with a good rep) new dr says.. umm... they never fully scanned your back... so he did full xrays.. found i have mild scoliosis said physical therapy to strengthen the muscles should be enough to get me back on my feet...
im half way done with the therapy.. dont really feel a differences other than sore muscles.. so i know the reason for the therapy is working.. but it isnt helping..
now im beginning to question my dr tho.. how can it be from weak muscles? one day.. (while i was in bed yet) my muscles decided they would just half work? which in reality i think my job if anything should have been making the muscles stronger
this dr says if the physical therapy doesnt work.. hes going to put a little wedge in my back to make it straight.. :/
I know this is a really good dr... and he seems to be doing right.. and having a straight back sure wouldnt hurt.. but what if this isnt the problem!?
my roommate keeps suggesting fibromyalgia.. her mother has it.. and she said she sounRAB a lot like me :/ is there some condition any of you heard of where someone has back pain when there is actually nothing wrong or something?
(sorry so long.. thanks for reading)
