Seasonal Allergy - Urine Retention

Hello:

For about 10 years now, I've had difficulty passing urine in the Spring/early summer. After many tests and trips to the urologist, we now believe this is a reaction to OTC seasonal allergy medication. I have an appointment with an allergist in a few weeks but can anyone recommend an OTC medicine that does not have this side effect.

Every decongestant or allergy medication my husband has taken causes urine retention. He has an enlarged prostate, so that's probably why? I have read that straight antihistamine without decongestant will not cause retention, but it does for him.
 
I was going to suggest that as well. It's usually the "d" component that causes the problem.
