seamus heaney mid term break poem?

i have to name two elements to say why it is an irish poem, and what part does heaney being a catholic play in this poem and what part does his background lay in this poem
 
i think this poem is about his younger brother dying where he has just been brought back home from school. he sees the dead body of his brother which proves that he's irish as that's irish tradition.
