sea fishing with bait in and around Arbroath, Scotland any tips?

Im sea fishing from the shore in and around Arbroath, Scotland. I have lived around this area most of my life so i know how rich the fishing can be but i just don't seem to catch anything. I have been fishing around 3 times a month (will be more when the fly season finishes) for about 8 months!!

I have spend a fortune on bait, rig making equipment and other relevant equipment but i still have no fish.

So it really all comes down to if anyone has any good tips to help me catch?
