I've got the itch for a new phone. Currently have an unlocked black RAZR, and got a Qtek S200 PPC Phone to replace it, but after using it a bit, I'm not liking the whole PDA phone thing. Important things I want include:
1) unlocked obviously
2) quad band
3) EDGE + BT
4) Something new and cool
I hate Moto's browser, and fixed large font size on my RAZR. I was thinking about eventually getting a KRZR but its probably going to have the same GUI as the RAZR, or close.
I started out my GSM experience on a S/E s710a, which was a cool phone, but then I got the RAZR into my head as a must have.
So looking at these new phones, the W810i and the D900, both are cool in their own right. Not sure about sliders in general, do they hold up well? Difficult to clean them inside if they get dust/lint in them?
What other phones should I look at in this price range ($340ish shipped) that I might have missed? I probably wont play much music from either one, although I could probably hook them to my car stereo if the quality is high enough. Is there a max bitrate on MP3's on these phones?
I do travel around and live in a rural area, sometimes signal strength can be low. So a phone that gets as good or better reception than my RAZR is a must.
