SE Heavy Breather Air Cleaner on with lowers

Hi,
Has any one installed a SE heavy breather kit or anything along the same line on a touring bike with lowers?
They say it will not fit in the instructions so just wondering if someone had tried do it.

Yes, I've seen them on several bikes with lowers. They clear the lowers glove box flap by about 1/16". Not sure if it's the HD one's or aftermarket, check your JP cycles catalog as well.

I don't thing the longer filter works, but the newer, shorter filter will fit.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Gambler, how much clearance does that short filter give you? I have the Hog Tunes lower speaker kit installed so I think I'm screwed . Thistle

Hey thistlethunder...

Yea...you're screwed! You can barely get a finger in between the end of the filter and glove box cover! If the speaker setup you have sticks out almost any at all, it will not fit.

Yea SCJE8 is correct no room, maybe at most 1 inch.
