SE Fatshotz

price. and no need for any downtime for a dyno run.

i wanted something plug n play and ride.

Edit to add:

plus I didn't list the idea of the SEST 'marrying' to the ecm. with the Powercommander, if i do change, i can then sell it.

and lastly, I really don't plan on any other engine mods, so the pcV should suit my needs.

The guy at my dealer was really leaning toward the SEST. They have the dyno and I'm sure they like to sell me on the installation of it all as well.

Just put one on my 2010 FLTRX. It is louder than the jackpots that were the Road King I traded in on it. I do not see how it could be street legal. VERY throaty at higher RPM. Quiets down in 6th at 70 but you still hear it. I would say twice as load as the stock pipe that came on the bike and 1/2 the weight.

Care to elaborate? The EPA thing on the muffler says that the muffler meets the noise requirements. How can you assume that it is a compromise in performance?

I'm going to get some pricing from the dealership on making this move myself. I haven't found any negative press on them, so here goes. Will advise what i learn.

UPDATE:
The dealership I bought my '09 Electra Glide Classic from has quoted me $725 out the door. That covers the Fatshotz slip-ons, computer remapping download, and the SE Stage One Air Cleaner. (figure above includes a $75 labor charge, and an offer of a 15% discount on parts.)

Crashin I would say the comp. in perf. would be due to the baffle design. The Suppertrapp version is more free flowing , and more tuneable.
