SE Comp and 49T done

Yes. Same amount of teeth, but WAY more cushion on your crank.
Excellent improvement that should have come stock on the bike. (They actually started putting them on some of the 2011 models).

Dawg,
I think you will like the TTS upgrade, and you will get your 6th gear light back. I updated my SERT last year and am very happy with the TTS changes.
The ability to change the primary gearing is a great feature, it will bring back your 6th gear light and it will insure you don't lose cruise control.
You can also correct the speedo, but one feature I really liked is the V-Tune.
I may not have the best dyno chart numbers self tuning with V-Tune, but I do feel I have one of the best riding tune from using it.

Your rpm's will be close to what is in the attached PDF for the 49 tooth clutch, Only difference is I'm running a 180/65-16 rear tire, slightly smaller diameter so your rpms will be a little bit lower, provided you correct the speedo. Most HD's are optimistic on speed about 4 or 5mph higher than actual.

Faast Eddie,

I noticed you imputed an 09, Dawg has an 08, that will affect the overall final gear ratio. the 09's have a 68 tooth rear pulley and the 08's have a 66 tooth.

My bad.

Mines an 08 too. I have to do the Bigboys thing all over. LOL
Surely the difference (between 46 and 49t) should be similar, only the final drives different.
I'll play with it again tomorrow.

Good catch!

That's a nice program, wish I would have known about it last year.
with the 07-08 touring bikes, stock rear tire and the 49 tooth clutch sprocket
65mph is 2557rpm.

So does anybody happen to know if the dealership can change the new ratio in the ECM to get he CC back after the 49 tooth install. Seems that might be cheaper than buying a TTS since I already have a PCV?

I look at the 80mph numbers. That's where I am at on a long drive with good speed limits. (worst case scenario when worrying about highway rpm that I gave up). Around 300 rpm higher now. Don't feel bad at all to me.

I haven't heard of anything.
