SE 254E Cam (New July 2009)

The profile looks a lot like a se253 that has been advanced several degrees. That would shift the torque curve to the right some. I'd like to see a dyno chart.

I agree, and if I were to choose it for a touring bike I would give it more compression--otherwise, the low-end will suffer. I'm not sure what CR or other mods would be best for it, but I don't see it as a bolt-in for a stock motor.

These cams are not for me. I like mid to upper. these are a 255 cam upgrade for baggers who want more up top then low. the intake closing fooled me at first. When I drew the cam on paper it all came clear that this cam will make slightly less torque down low and slightly more at higher rpm. Also looked like a definate EPA cam. also smooth running. If the 255 is a low rpm torque cam this would be a definate mid torque cam.

They probobly came out with this cam for the 110 efi packages as it bleeds off cylinder psi.. As 255 were too much advance on the intke closing
