Kingston 256MB SD card for $55.99 with a $15 mail-in rebate (offer good til the end of this month) and free shipping for a total of $40.99. Can anyone beat this? Geez, I remember spending $400 on my first 10MB hard drive. Ouch!

It's basically $70 less a $15 rebate.

Panasonic are $70 with NO rebate; I'd rather spend the $15 more and get Panasonic.

Thank you, though, for the heads up. We'll see these prices drop dramatically over Summer to around $30, I would imagine. For now, at least for me, $15 is low price for security and speed of the Panasonic, since I don't buy one every week. For those of you who need multiple cards, these "Kingston" ones sound like a good deal but I have no experience with them.

Anyone tried one? In the meantime it's Panasonic for me!!

Still doesn't beat $41 w/free shipping.

I've been using a Viking (Toshiba) SD card and it's been working fine, no problems. Never tried Panasonic, so couldn't tell you a difference in speed. Also got it from Buy.com for $45 after $15 rebate. I'm waiting for the 512MB cards to come down in price. Anybody have any experience with them?
