Hi there,
I was wondering if anybody out there suffering from chronic pain has had the scs (spinal cord stimulator) trial fitted but the surgeon couldn't get the electrodes in the right place and has had to have a neurosurgeon put the electrodes in the right place instread?
I had the scs trial done in sept of last year and they put the electrodes on my spine in the wrong place, so it was taken out and am scheduled to have another re-trial on 20th april.
My pain management doctor has told me that if he can't get the electrodes in the right place on my spine this time then he is going to ask a neurosurgeon to do it for him and was just wondering if a neurosurgeon doing it is any different from your pain management doctor doing it??? Does a neurosurgeon have to make bigger cuts to be able to get the electrodes placed correctly!!!!
I hope everybodys pain isn't too bad today, and I hope somebody can help me with some advice, take care everybody xx
