I have two scripts I started prior to attending Comic-Con, one was is for Smallville and the other is for the 2009 remake of the 80s series V. The scripts are different in terms of characters and such but the premise is similar such as the characters in both shows dealing with hearing about the earthquake in Haiti and both friends and enemies have no choice but to work together in the relief effort. At the same time a few sparks fly and seeing the devastation brings up several painful memories of similar disasters such as an earthquake that hit Krypton in the early 70s(Smallville) as well as Ryan, Anna and a few others who lost friends and relatives in a disaster similar to Hurricane Katrina(V).Those parts in the episodes are told via flashbacks when the characters discuss the events.
I thought that they'd be interesting ideas to pitch.
But one thing though I know there are screenwriting contests for TV that don't accept scripts for shows that are already on the air. I did find some of the actors/actresses from both shows via Facebook as well as met one of V's exec co producers at Comic-Con so I'll mention it to them.
Any contests that take scripts for TV shows already on the air?
I mean besides script frenzy.
