Screen Protectors

I have a new Palm TX and think it needs a screen protector. I have been searching and it has left me confused. I see them for anywhere from 10 to 35 dollars. What is a good one and what is crazy?

Can anyone make an informed suggestion?

Royal,

I use the Palmone own brand screen protectors on my T5. I've not tried any other products because the Palmone protectors work fine, so I can't say how they compare.

I have seen comments from other users that they can decrease the screen's sensitivity and thereby make graffiti more difficult to use but I've never found this to be the case. One of the advantages of the Palmone product is that you get a nifty plastic applicator, rather like a credit card) which makes it really easy to prevent air bubbles getting trapped underneath the protector (very irritating!).

the one thing I cannot emphasize strongly enough is DO get a screen protector and soon. Replacing a scratched screen protector costs cents; a dollar or two at most. Replacing the screen on your Palm will be very expensive and they DO get scratched.

I have now ordered one. This is my first PDA and there is so much I don't know. I am amazed at the quality of video it puts out.

I am having a problem finding a map program I want at a price I can afford but am looking.

I prefer the ones from Brando/boxwave. They have a Crystal unit that is almost invisible and in my case - lasts for over 6 months if properly installed.

Several people have actually created their own by purchasing a clear glasine style of plastic from an Art center or Walmart and cutting to fit.

Regardless - screen protection is a good thing whatever flavor you choose.
