scratched games

has anyone ever let blockbuster re-surface their scratched games?? i was wondering if i should trust them ..

I haven't let Block Buster, but i let my local video store do my family guy disc 1. It plays perfect now.

Here is a tip to do it yourself, I know it sounds odd but it works really really well:

Take a tube of toothpaste and put a big glob on the disc, smear it around the whole disc with a cloth, then wipe it all off. Disc will work like new for some reason.

I have done it many times, to CDs and DVDs that won't read anymore because they are so scratched, but they work fine after you do this.

They probably just use something like a disc doctor which you can buy your self. Toothpaste idea works but i use Novus Scratch remover 1 & 2, 3 for deeper scratches.

we ended up taking it to blockbuster ... and they fixed it ... but i am gonna try that toothpaste trick on some of my older cd's that are kinda scratched up

As a blockbuster employee I wouldn't advise bringing it to us. Just get one of those $10 cleaners from wal-mart, same thing.

you can get a free trial from gamefly and switch the games, they don't mark theirs at all
