scratch on my dodge ?

ok i have a 02 durango slt+ and the other day i went to wash it even though it was raining and i noticed there are now like 9 half inch scratches and then theres a inch or so long scratch there just like surface scratches there not deep so wht should i do to get them out its on the front passenger door and its a patriot blue durango should i just use touch up paint if so how much is the paint
should i just scrub on the scratches with a mit thingy when i wash it?
 
Touch up is rarely a good solution. If you can feel the scratch with your fingernails, it is too deep to polish, and would need to be repaired and painted. I would recommend going to a reputable auto body shop for an estimate.
 
Depending on the depth of the scratch you have a few things you can try:
Get a rubbing compound from any parts store or Wal-Mart,etc. and buff the scratches carefully.
There is also something called a "chip-stick". They are found near the rubbing compounds. They basically are a waxy crayon that helps to fill in the scratch and then buffed away.
Avoid touch up paint! It does not work well and rarely ever matches.
