Two days ago I bought my first car but I'm a broke teenager so I have a tape player and not a CD player. Instead of spending money on a new CD deck, I bought a Scosche Cassette Adaptor for a temporary fix but every time I try to use it, my tape player ejects it saying it needs to be cleaned. The car manual says there is an override sequence to make these adapters work but it still doesn't seem to work. The car is a '98 Chevy Cavalier with the standard tape deck by Delco. I have the tape taken apart right now because I know that on other adapters you need to remove a gear, so if that's the problem I can remove a gear. So if anyone knows how to make this work, help would be appreciated.
