scoliosis problem and sports?

ok so i have very mild scoliosis im 16 and found out i had it last spring but im concerned because i used to be an extremely good runner before this and it basically killed that by sending my body off balance and causing problems when i run to long of distances. the more i run the more it seems to get worse but i can correct it with the chiro and streching helps but im worried that if it keeps getting worse from running if i should keep doing it or go and with swimming to keep my back from getting worse in the future the problem is every one and my coach really want me to run so its not easy to just stop. so should i stop or has any one not have problems with running with scoliosis is it really some thing i should be worried about. ha i cant really run fast at all any more because its like the more i do the worse i get even if i dont get pain from it. just bad cramps in my calf s that were never there before. but i still want to run just to keep in shape because i like it

Look, at the most, you'll run for 2 years or until you graduate, right?

YOUR BACK HAS TO LAST A LIFETIME!!!!!! If you're making it worse, that means you'll either have to wear a brace OR HAVE SURGERY!!!!!!

DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT?????

Stop running!!! Tell your coach.

You should try to see an Osteopathic Physician that does manipulation instead of seeing a Chiropractor. Osteopathic manipulation is much more complex than Chiropractic. Onset of scoliosis is usually about 13 so you have only had it for about 3 years. Pain is a warning from your body to stop.
