on Sept 12 2001 I was over a year of sivere pain from a blown disk that caused ciatic pain so bad I had constant leg seziers, could not stand for more than 5 min, could not sleep without 7 pillows to position myself, could not walk, could not lift my right leg more than 4 inches from the ground. I had a great surgen at the toronto western hospital who had the same injury himself and had the surgery. It was the best decision of my life. I can be active again. I have some pain ocationaly but am now working at a job that requires great strength and stamana. I am managing an aquesterian centre for the disabled. I muck stalls, Move hay, drive tractor, ect.... Before this I was a baby trainer for standerdbred race horses. If I have a job that Is free flowing and active that keeps me in excellent shape I am alive and doing better than ever. I can not do a job that has me driving for long pirioRAB, vibrating machienery, standing stationary or sitting all day. I will never regret having the surgery. Many people warned me not to do it but I made my choice and will never look back. Before my surgery my back would go out every 5 to 6 months requiring bed rest. I have not had an epasode since
I hope that I can be of help to people who are experiencing similar pain
