You can use in your debates how advertising companies like to recruit and use people in their advertisements that are close to what people deem as "perfect", which is not a real persona that they can strive for.
For instance, high fashion lines, bridal fashion, as well as makeup ads use girls that are about ages 12 to 15 for their ads! People look at them and are amazed how tiny these pseudo "women" are without actually knowing their real age. They think that they are over 18 and are possibly anorexic while they are actually just growing teenage girls with hardly any curves yet because they are still developing and growing and it's normal for them to be skinny like that if they are 5'8" and over. (same thing on many runways) You know, the lanky, skinny teen.
Grown women look at this and they are basically told a 'lie' right away without knowing it. This feeds on their selfesteem and makes many self conscious because they want to look like the girls in the ads, and they can't because they're not a growing, tall, lanky 13 yr old! It's just unrealistic.
