I was in excrutiating pain just a week an a half ago and was in tears!! I have a herniated disc L5 S1 and have a job that I am on my feet for 8 hours a day. I have been suffering with low back pain and terrible leg aches for the past year consistently. I would come home from work in tears everyday!! I have been off work for 7 weeks now and have taken it so easy that my leg pain has improved greatly and my back pain is better but I still have that deep core pain at the level of the disc and deep muscle pain around the area as well. I am planning on going back to work after my ALIF procedure but I am now wondering do I need surgery???? Will all this fire back up after I get back to work as I have a very physical job?? I have had all of the epidural injections and only got relief while the marcaine was still making me nurab but the pain became worse after each shot and test like the myelogram etc. My pain has progressed downhill steady over the last 12 months. I feel I should have the fusion so I will not have another problem or live in pain. I am young and healthy and do not have health issues except my back. Need some help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :wave:
