you know, every time you have a baby your body changes a little bit so it is possible that you are in the earlier phases of developing something that you probably didn't have before. unfortunately, i have no idea whether or not you have a simple hormonal imbalance or POCS, but I would try and relax. you are obviously getting medical care now and no matter what happens, you have 2 beautiful babies already. just do what the doctors ask. they will help you work through everything! good luck friend!

levels? polysistic ovary? Hi,

I went to the docs for a LITTLE bit of facial hair, thought maybe i had funny hormones. So i had my blood test on Wed and they rang me back asking me to come again for another one >.< Scared me by saying i have high LH serum levels, unfortunately the receptionist had no idea what this means, however she has frightened me as i have to go back :-(

I have pretty regular periods (i do now, as contraceptive pill made my periods irregular so i came off it) have theusual period cramps nothing out of the ordinary. Can i just have a simple hormone imbalance or this polysistic ovaries? (bare in min dive been pregnant twice before)

Are you trying to get pregnant?

Luteinizing hormone (LH) is produced by the pituitary gland.

Along with other hormones (follicle-stimulating hormone and estrogen), LH helps regulate the menstrual cycle in women and causes ovulation to occur.

The amount of LH released into the body varies with the phase of the menstrual cycle. It increases rapidly just before ovulation occurs, about midway through the cycle (day 14 of a 28-day cycle). This is called an LH surge.

Luteinizing hormone and follicle-stimulating hormone levels rise and fall together during the monthly menstrual cycle. In men, LH stimulates testosterone production and is necessary for sperm to mature.

LH is usually measured in both a man and a woman to determine why the couple cannot achieve pregnancy (infertility).
