Long story short, my daughter was attack by a dog when she was 14months old and had 10 stitches up the back of her entire head. That was in Sept. 2010 but she still has a spot on her head with a scab. She doesnt pick, its not red or infected...it just looks like a scab. Im wondering if maybe since her hair was fairly short at the time and it grew like crazy since, if it isnt just intertwined in the scab and is stuck there. She is traumatized by this and refuses to let any doctor near her to look, but from what her doctor could tell it looked okay and he also agreed that its odd that its still there. Anybody have any ideas on this? Or maybe suggestions on how to loosen this thing off her head...Ive never seen a scab last 7 months.
this was 7 months ago so the wound is completely healed now. she was put on antibiotics at the time, and has healed up fine except for this one darn spot that the scab just wont go away. i dont even know if its still connected or if its just matted into the hair. stitches were a must as her skull was exposed.....trust me people with large dogs...even if you have them from a puppy, it can happen with the most perfect dogs.
