what are your opinions on it so far?

Its alright has a few good songs, but i dont think they will ever top is a real boy.

Is A Real Boy didn't impress me aside from a few songs when I first heard it but then it really grew on me.

Hoping the same is true for the new one

yes very true, but this new album isnt that great aside from a few songs.

i love in defense... it took me about the same amount of listens as IARB to really get into it, but i like it as much as IARB now. There are obviously some throwaways (which IARB didn't have.) but shit, it's 27 songs, what do you expect?

it just seems like some songs are filler, that could have been left out.

I haven't listened to it yet but I've heard from a hardcore fan that it sucked. Is a real boy is ok... but I love Baseball and their old demos.

i'm not disagreeing. but the total number of tracks probably still would have necessitated two discs, and with max bemis being the ego-freak he is i'm sure he just said "fuck it, leave 'em"
