I saw the Gastro the other day and I have to have the EGD in early August. he feels that all of my chest pain, etc is coming from my GERD and not my heart. i am still nervous about that part, each time I get a pain, I think I am dying and its making me panic!! I have not had a severe spell since my ER trip in July.
Another thing, I had an EGD about 15 yrs ago, took a Xanax before I left the house, I never had any sedation at all. They just sprayed my throat and I swallowed the tube. This doc said no way, u will be sedated. I am nervous about sedation and told him so, he said, aw, I use Propaphol and you will be fine, of course that scared me with it being in the news all the time from Mike Jackson. Has anyone had this sedation??
He also took me off the Priloc OTC and put me on Nexeum 40 mgs
