Saw Lady In The Water...

First off, I'm a fan of his films. They're an aquired taste because you gotta pay attention and really follow the story. Despite what some say, I thought 6th Sense was okay. Unbreakable could've been a ton better, Signs was downright amazing in the way it kept you in the dark as if you were with them. And The Village was enjoyable, I had read spoilers before seeing it so I 1/2 expected it.

LITW was close to The Village I would say. You can figure it out as it goes along and as key points are reveiled. M.Knight has a bigger part in the film and plays a key character unlike his previous cameo's and you really want to know more about that character's future and what he ends up changing.

The movie did slow down in some places and felt like it kept repeating itself needlessly. Where the 6th Sense spelled it out for you at the end, this makes sure you're keeping up. But never did I feel the movie was too long and hoped it would end.

The score itself is fucking amazing. I dunno how he does it, but all his movies have incredible soundtracks.

Overall it was a good movie. Ended up seeing it instead of Superman because I didn't want to pay full price for a 6:45 show ($11) so we saw the 3:45 LITW.

fuck the reviews the movie was very intriguing and you continued to enjoy it until the end. no big twist or anythin like that, but thats what i really enjoyed about. while the trailers for the village made it look insanely creepy and the movie was disappoint and gay. i went into this with an open mind and thats what you should do cause I honestly think it was really well written and acted and i enjoyed it very much

Fuck reviews, period. I've seen so many movies lately that the reviews were completely opposite my personal reaction- you really can' tell till you see it yourself.

i saw it sat night and enjoyed it like all M. Night's other films. we got there somewhat late (during the previews) expecting not to be able to get good seats but the theater was practically empty except for 10 or so other people

ive learned that a good portion of the people, especially on OT, never see the movies, they just jump on the bandwagon and say it sucks. i saw atleast 3 threads with every person bashing all of M Nights other movies, which lead them to say this one sucked. im with most of you guys. ill make my own decision, i liked his other movies, they had plot holes here and there. but you know what, i was entertained for the length of the movie.

how bout cause this movie mocks movie critics, and is almost big headed in saying it is different than any other movie.

dont get me wrong i loved the film and i thought it was extremely well done. i'm just saying.

i am not an M night shama-lama-ding-dong fan.

6th sense was damn good & bruce willis was pure awesomeness in it.

signs, village, & unbreakable were wack, because of either; a lame ass twist, lead characters doing their best impersonations of bruce's character in 6th sense, or pretending something is scary, when in all actuality... it's just silly & comes off as low budget.

However, lady in the water was
thank you Paul Giamatti for drawing me to an M Night flick & making me enjoy it. :bighthumb:
Thank you M Night, for not trying some stupid ass twist AND for ending a movie at just the exact right moment.

its odd because this wouldnt normally be the type of movie that i would like, it was slow alot of times, quiet like everyone was whispering, but it was pretty good, interesting, not scary like it seemed in some previews, but good anyway

I thought the film was uneven. I wouldn't say it suck, but there is a diferent between a great movie and one that doesn't suck: this one didn't suck.
