Saw II

Well as i was too young to see Saw II at the cinema i have had to wait till it comes out on DVD (27th march). however my sister went to see Saw II at the cinema's and kept saying how gory it was, i am okay with quite alot of gore (saw and seven didn't cause any troube for me) but i just want to check before i see saw II that the gore isn't too much for me. i watched the start (up to the bit where it says Saw II) on youtube and that didn't bother me
even when he was about to cut open his eye
but how much worse does the rest of the film get???
 
Saw II is definitley gorier than the SAW and is no where near as good. In fact, Saw wasnt even gory, more suggestive.

I thought Saw II was a bit crap, but it does tie Saw in with it, albeit its a crap ending.

If you got through seven though, you should be ok.
 
I agree with Daisy, Saw 2 is gorier than the original. But the original film was much more distrubing IMO. If you can make it past the opening scene, then I think you will be ok. I still had memories from the first film (which left me feeling very unsettled after I left the Cinema) so I was bracing myself for a repeat performance, which I have to say, never happened.
 
Thanks for the replies, i can't wait to watch it now. I always thought SAW was good because it mixed mental horror (people suddenly waking up in violent traps) with physical (the whole ending to SAW) and jump-out-your-set (mainly due to the tension it builRAB)
 
I think you'll find Saw 2 very disappointing then. I loved the first one (although there were a few holes in the story) and expected great things from the 2nd but they just didn't think about the story enough and i felt it was a bit rushed. I looked at my friend at the end and we both thought "Is that it?". I wasn't convinced at all.
 
I think the producers admitted they kind of got it wrong with Saw 2. Therefore I have much higher hopes for Saw 3 when it is released...
 
I like horror, but Saw was just nasty and sadistic. How can people find it entertaining? I saw with someone I had just started going out with - not a great date movie!

I saw the trailer for the second one where a woman had to find something in a room knee high with syringes. Nasty.
